The Laundry

Laundry-Rooms-Gracie-Wallpaper-via-DiCorcia-Interior-Design-NY-NJLaundry rooms are often one of the most overlooked rooms in a house. I must admit, there really isn’t anything special about my own, but I think I’d be much more inclined to get the sheets folded (opposed to my typical routine of ignoring them in the dryer for hours and coming back to a wrinkled mess) if the room was a bit more stylish!

Imagine how awesome they would be for a vacation house where guests visit frequently and linens need to be changed just as often?! Or for all you new mama’s out there with newborns going through 5+ outfits a day!

  1. i have a laundry “closet”….that’s right it is about the same size as a good sized closet. the up side to that is i must keep it organized.

when my family was young, i dreamed of a home with one laundry room upstairs and one downstairs.

according to the comment you left for me on my organizing entry, we. are. twins.

  2. Your great grandmother had a version of that “automatic linen ironer” — called a mangle in her day. She did all of her tablecloths, etc. on it — burned herself a few times also!!
