After seeing a sneak peak of Assouline’s newest masterpiece, The Big Book of the Hamptons, I immediately added it to my cart! The Hamptons maintains a distinct aesthetic in the design world, both indoors and out. What I love most about the gardens are the relaxed/elegant/coastal vibe that almost looks as if it happened naturally – but actually takes quite a bit of hard work to achieve!

  1. What beautiful images! I really agree, the best gardens are the ones that look effortless (but in truth countless hours went into their creation.)
I love the idea of having a white arbor to then have vines growing up it, what a beautiful entrance to any garden!
    Great post Christine!

  2. The key to a beautiful garden is the “natural” look that so many gardens are missing. You must be dedicated, perhaps even a little obsessed, but the secret garden is the best look by far! Gorgeous images!!
