From the French Countryside to the French Riviera

Overcast weather continued for most of the weekend, so on Sunday we hopped on the ferry and headed over to Shelter Island for a little day trip. We had the pleasure of visiting two very different hotels, both equally as fabulous!

Complete with bocce ball courts, ping-pong tables, stone fire pits and a white sandy beach; the property isn’t short of activities – so much so I forgot to take more pictures, oops!

The ambience and crowds at each hotel could not have been more different – we joked we’d traveled from the French countryside at La Maison Blanche down to the French Riviera at Sunset Beach, all while in the Hamptons!

How was your Labor Day weekend?

  1. Your holiday sounds fantastic. I love the looks of the Hamptons (i mean who doesn’t?) My hubs is from new england and tells me we need to move there, apparently my design taste would fit right in 😉
