I came across Erin Gates master suite remodel a few days ago on Pinterest, and haven’t been able to get it out of my mind since. I have to admit, rooms comprised of a primarily neutral color palette aren’t typically my thing, as they can start looking rather blah really fast. The key is to layer in various textures and patterns to add depth and warmth to the space. While this it not always an easy task, when done right, it’s just magical!
I came across this gorgeous Tribecca maisonette belonging to Sasha Bikoff (photographed by Nicole Cohen) on Albertina’s blog yesterday and fell completely in love! The feminine space is both modern and colorful, filled to the brim with an enviable array of antiques. And of course I adore the collection of art Biskoff has amassed – can you believe she’s only 25?!

As you may have gathered from some of my previous posts, I am a huge fan of wallpaper! It’s certainly not cheap – considering the actual cost of the wallpaper itself plus installation. But if you think about how much visual square footage it consumes, wallpaper has a bigger impact than any other object in the room -meaning less is more when it comes to the furniture. I could go on for days listing my favorites, but Nina Campbell’s Swan Lake has been on my mind lately. So elegant and feminine, it reminds me of going to the ballet with my grandmother when I was a little girl!
